'Digital Divide' by Claire Bishop - Response

It does seem that  Claire Bishop is bashing artists that are not taking seriously the conveniences of the digital medium. With the convenience of technology and how easy it is to get a hold of it, it's getting harder to tell the difference between what is art that is thought out and prepared compared to what is just an amateur using tech for fun. I really believe that if contemporary art does not accept that we have digital art now then it might be left behind like in theater with film.

I have to agree that we should not depend on the digital age to make good art. The rules have not changed, you must create the way you create and not because a new platform or changing of equipment has changed.

I found this meme on contemporary art and thought it was funny. Sharing... ✌
